Evaluation of Jingles Part 1 - Opening and Show Promo
All week I’ve been using a programme called Sound booth on the Mac computers making three different radio jingles, for the college radio station SNC live. I made one for the radio Indent, News and Promo and all three were less than one minute long. The first jingle I made was the promo which is by far the longest at 45 seconds, when I first started making this jingle I was still new to the programme so I was learning new things as I went along. However, I picked it up very quickly as it’s a relatively straight forward programme to use and had very few problems, the promo took me the majority of Tuesday to complete but it was worth it as once I was finished I was left with a successful jingle that I was pleased with. In the jingle, all of the music used was my own that I had brought in on my memory stick, I used three songs that I mixed together including one which was ideal for the beginning as it’s a morning show so it instantly gives the jingle that morning feel. I did the voiceover myself for the jingle giving a brief idea what the radio show is about and important information that people would need to know including when the show is on.
